Nutritional Services. Our three-pronged program provides seniors with the nutrition they need to maintain a healthy and independent lifestyle.
- Home-Delivered Meals: Volunteers deliver a hot midday meal five days a week to homebound adults aged 60+. Learn more.
- Community Nutrition Centers:For those who prefer to eat with others in a friendly and welcoming environment, we serve midday meals each weekday at conveniently located nutrition centers. Free transportation is available. Learn more.
- Nutritional Supplements:Liquid meal supplements are available at reduced rates.
Transportation Services
The Regional Coordinated Area Transportation System (RCATS) can provide free transportation for medical appointments, shopping, congregate meals, etc. Call 910-572-3757 to schedule a pickup. Scheduled appointments are necessary.
In-Home Aide Program
Aides are available to assist with tasks that can help you live independently – including chores such as cleaning, meal preparation, washing clothes and changing linens. Learn more.
Prescription Drug Assistance.
The Council can help you navigate the applications required for prescription drug or medication management programs.
Summer Fan Program.
Each year we distribute free fans to make certain those without air conditioning remain safe and comfortable during the summer months.
