Our Mission
In our belief that the right to vote is the very cornerstone of our American Democracy, our mission is to administer free, fair and honest elections for all Montgomery County Citizens. We will represent our county as a positive governmental agency by our compliance with all Local, State and Federal Election Laws. We will continually strive to maintain the integrity of the electoral process.
Montgomery County Board of Elections Meeting Schedule
Meeting schedules will be the second Tuesday of each month.
All meetings will be held in the Board of Elections Office located at 327 North Main Street, Troy, NC 27371 unless otherwise noted.

Absentee Ballots for the November 5th Election start September 6th, 2024
Voter Registration Deadline is October 11th, 2024
Early Voting will be from October 17th through November 2nd, 2024, at the following locations:
- Biscoe Town Hall - Biscoe (110 W Main St, Biscoe, NC 27209)
- Highland Community Center - Mt.Gilead (131 Hoffman Rd, Mt Gilead, NC 27306)
- Troy Library - Troy (215 W Main St, Troy, NC 27371)
Early Voting locations will be open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 7:30 pm. Early voting locations will be open on only one Saturday, November 2nd, from 8:00 am until 3:00 pm.
Election Day is November 5th, 2024. All county precincts will open at 6:30 am and close at 7:30 pm.
