ON THE LAKE: WHAT TO DO?

Paddle: Kayak and Canoe

Where Should I Paddle?

Because the Lakes are not overcrowded, you can set in virtually anywhere and paddle a few minutes to find some calm waters perfect for paddling.

Falls (Narrows) Reservoir can be reached with about 5 miles of driving down the bumpy dirt road that is Moccasin Creek Rd., but once there, the water is very still and motor boats are rarely in that area making for great paddle boarding, kayaking and canoeing in a serene setting. You can paddle to the Falls Dam and back while enjoying the Uwharrie Forest bordering the area. There is a dirt boat ramp with a small circle for setting in and vehicle turn around.

Badin Lake and Lake Tillery - You can set in virtually anywhere and not be too far from calm waters, fishing spots or islands to come aground and explore! Badin Lake is typically less busy and calmer waters because of the Uwharrie Forest bordering one side of the Lake.
